Plastique Tiara and Nymphia Wind are closing off the Year of the Snake with an epic drag tour across the United States that embraces their Asian heritage and drag artistry.
Aptly called “The Serpents Tour,” the production is inspired by the classic Asian folktale, The Legend of the White Snake will feature the RuPaul’s Drag Race superstars as the titular characters, the White Snake and the Green Snake.
The original folktale goes like this: a white snake spirit transforms into a woman and falls in love with a human man, marries him and goes on to live peacefully. Her loyal companion, the Green Snake, acts as her protector and sister-figure. But when a monk who believes humans and spirits should never be together exposes her true identity, she is punished and imprisoned beneath a pagoda for defying cosmic law. The Green Snake survives, vows revenge and continues to resist the unjust order that condemned her sister. It’s a story that has many parallels to the experience of queer folks, especially in regards to “forbidden” love and accepting oneself.
“This legend is about choosing who you are and even when the world says you shouldn’t,” Plastique Tiara tells RepresentASIAN Project. “So I think that this is a message that needs to be heard and is really resonant with gay people.”
Plastique related most to the white snake because of her soft femininity and inner strength.
“She’s had to withstand a lot of battles in order to be with the ones she loves,” she explains. “So I think that duality really mirrors my own journey being in drag and my own identity as well.”

For Nymphia Wind, the green snake felt like an obvious choice because of her “chaotic” energy.
“She gives younger sister energy and is kind of all over the place and ditsy and clumsy at times but she is also very fierce and ferocious,” the Drag Race season 16 winner says. “And that resonates with me in the sense that she’s dumb on the outside, but secretly clever. Plus, the colour green is closer to the colour yellow."

For both Plastique and Nymphia, highlighting their Asian roots was imperative for the tour.
”At its core, the tour is really focused on Asian excellence,” says Nymphia. “As Asian drag queens, we are marginalized, especially in popular culture and in media as well. It’s important as Asian drag queens to really get out there and show to the world that we are here and our talent has always been great and now [people are] finally catching up.”
It was also important for the queens to give a platform to AAPI and LGBTQ+ talent, which is why they are inviting local queens to perform at each stop and showcase their art.
“When I was starting out, I just wanted a stage to perform and express myself,” says Plastique. “On Drag Race, there’s only one Asian queen each season…but our drag is pretty amazing, So for this to be the first-ever Asian-centric duo tour, we really wanted to highlight talents all across America.”

Above all, the queens say ‘The Serpents Tour’ is a space to celebrate Asian drag artistry and promises it to be an “unforgettable live experience” filled with couture fashion, theatrical storytelling and dynamic performances.
“I just want everyone to come and be unapologetically queer and themselves,” says Plastique.
‘The Serpents Tour’ kicks off in New York City on January 25, 2026 and travels to 15 cities nationwide, concluding in Portland, Oregan on February 16, 2026. For tickets and info, visit nymphiaplastiquelive.com.
